Wayne County Lightfest Opening Night

The Holidays have so many great events you can experience together and in the process spend fun quality time together as a family. Holiday lights are one of my favorite things to enjoy on a snow covered winter night. The quiet calmness of night, the glistening snow and all the beautiful lights twinkling are so joyful. For me it's the perfect spring board for reflecting on what's important in life. With that, I'm excited to take my family to see the Holiday lights around town.

Thursday, November 18th at 6:00 p.m is Wayne County Lightfest Opening Night. There will be FREE refreshments, live entertainment, fireworks, and the official "Lights On" ceremony.

The Wayne County Light Fest is located along Hines Drive & Merriman Road, in Westland, MI. The Wayne County Lightfest 2010, runs from November 18th to December 31st (closed on December 25th). Each year the Wayne County Lightfest turns Hines Drive into the Midwest's longest drive-through holiday light display. Viewers enter an enchanted world of colorful rainbows, snowflakes, and candy canes.

Wayne County Lightfest opens each night at 7:00 p.m and closes at 10:00 p.m. The display begins at Hines Drive and Merriman Road in Westland and proceeds one way and exits through the concession areas onto Warren Avenue near Telegraph in Dearborn Heights. Food concessions, photos with Santa, available November 25th - December 23rd and restrooms are at the end of the Lightfest at Warrendale Picnic Area. Vehicle admission is $5.
