Every so often the New Detroit Science can offer free admission made possible by Ford Motor Company

The Detroit Science Center features more than 200 hands-on exhibits that explore space, life and physical science. Highlights include: Rocket Laboratory for a glimpse into space travel, working it off in the new exhibit that stresses the value of fitness and nutrition and walk the Mini Mac Bridge, an 80-foot-long pedestrian bridge modeled after the Mackinac Bridge.

While you there check out the new Kids Town. Kids Town features engaging activites organized into a child-scaled “town” where little ones can develop their social and motor skills while exploring the basic science concepts we encounter every day.
