The last weekend of the month! Did you make any resolutions? Have you kept them? I have a few but are just postponed till next month...hehehe. Here's some Free and Fun things happening this weekend!


Every Saturday from 11am to 3pm Lakeshore Learning stores have free crafts for kids. Come in this Saturday with your child to make a create a Winter Igloo.









Free Admission to the Detroit Science Center
January 28th 3pm-close & 29th 10am-to 6pm
Weekend of Warmth
Help low-income families stay warm this winter. Join WWJ Newsradio 950 and THAW (The Heat and Warmth Fund) for their annual radiothon and enjoy extended hours and theater shows at the Detroit Science Center. Ford FREE FunDay hours begin at 3 p.m. on Friday and continue around the clock through 6 p.m. on Saturday.
Ford FREE FunDays offer complimentary general admission for visitors (up to 2 adults and 4 children per party) on select dates. Families can enjoy a variety of themed activities and demonstrations throughout Ford FREE FunDays.

Family Performance: Good Mischief with Gemini 
Sunday Jan. 30 12 noon - 4pm
At 2:00 PM The musical duo Gemini celebrates the fun, warmth, and humor of family life in a performance that abounds with rousing sing-alongs, tunes with hand motions, folk tales, and music from around the world.
Other activities included
Drop-In Workshop: Print making Noon–4 p.m.
Drawing in the Galleries for Adults and Youth from Noon–4 p.m.

Macy's Super Saturdays at the DSO
The Candy Band
Saturday Jan, 29 9am-12n
For children ages 1-10 on Sat. Jan. 29 from 9:00 a.m. until noon at the Max M. Fisher Music Center. The event will feature rock-infused children’s songs by Candy Band, beginning at 10 a.m. in The Music Box.
Additional activities for children will take place on the first floor of The Atrium inside the Max M. Fisher Music Center and will include the Marshall Music Instrument Petting Zoo, which allows the children to play with instruments. Other activities will include face-painting as well as arts and crafts from Arts N’ Scraps, a Detroit non-profit organization that uses recycled materials to facilitate creativity and learning in people of all ages.
