It's Halloween weekend! Can you believe we're looking at November, already? That means the shopping season is soon to kick into full swing! YIKES! If your entertainment budget was tight before, it could be a really challenge in the weeks to come. Well here's some last minute Halloween fun you can still have with the family.

On Friday 10/29 IHOP is offering kids a Free Scary Face Pancake  This offer is good for one Scary Face Pancake per child 12 & under, for dine in only, at participating locations! Check your location.





Chili's Free Kids Meal

At participating Chili's restaurants around the country, kids 12 and under dressed in costumes eat free on Sunday, 31. One free kid's entrée is allowed for each paid adult entrée. Not all Chili's are participating in the promotion, so call first! Then Print this coupon and bring it in to get free kids' meals at Chili's on Halloween.

Free Movie Weekend


Goodrich Quality Theater has a FREE fall matinee going on until November 14th.
Showtimes are 9am and 10am on Saturday and Sunday and has a 15 minute intermission.

Every Saturday from 11am to 3pm Lakeshore Learning stores have free crafts fro kids. Come in this Saturday with your child to make a Spooky Spider Treat Holder.









The Knack Free Family Craft Event

October 30th 10a- 2p at Micheals Craft Stores bring the kids in costume for Free crafts and fun.Create duck tape cuffs 10a- 12p. Face painting from 12p-1:30p and a costume parade 1:30-2pm

Kids will enjoy trick or treating in the galleries; a craft session featuring gourd/pumpkin decorating; a pumpkin carving demonstration; a scavenger hunt and a costume contest (best costume, scariest costume).

Meijer's in-store trick or treating

Saturday October 30th from 11am - 2pm The first 500 kids will get Halloween bags. Bring the kids in costumes, they will get to sample slimey snacks, make a yummy craft, and there will be free giveaways. Check your local store for participation.


Museum Mystery Tour Halloween weekend

At the DIA, October 29th & 30th 6pm to 9pm & Sunday 31th 1pm to 4pm. Get into the Halloween mood with a museum mystery tour of the American art galleries. Guides tell tales and secrets about the artists whose work haunts the DIA. You’ve never seen the galleries like this: eerie lighting and sounds in the dark, but we’ll keep it fun and family friendly, so bring the kids (in costume or not), ages five and up. Tours leave from the Great Hall approximately every ten minutes. On Sunday at the DIA is also Family Sunday and will include these additional events.


Children's Museum Spooky Science

Detroit Children's Museum Spooky Science event on Oct. 30! Bug hunt, costume contests, pumpkin bowling and more! Kids in costume get in free with paid adult and members are free! Admission Adults $4.00 Children 2-12 $2.00 Children under 2 Free. Admission includes one planetarium show.Additional planetarium shows are $1.



In Ann Arbor, the annual Downtown Ann Arbor Treat Parade is Friday October 29th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This event is sponsored by the Main Street Area Association. Families are encouraged to come in costume and receive treats from area businesses flying black and orange balloons. The event takes place in businesses along Main, Liberty, Fourth, and Washington Streets. For more information call 734-668-7112.

At your local YMCA on October 29th from 6-8pm. Admission is just a canned good for a local food bank. There will be candy, games, costume contests, prizes, haunted hallway, swimming, trunk or treat, and more! Bring the whole family and your neighbors too. The YMCA provides a safe, fun environment for whole families to enjoy the Halloween experience while minimizing some of the risks commonly associated with this unique holiday.
In Taylor , "Safe Halloween" is scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, October 31, at Taylor's Heritage Park, 12111 Pardee Road. The event is free for children 12 and under. Children can trick-or-treat in a safe environment, collecting candy from costumed staff members of the City of Taylor Department of Golf, Parks and Recreation.
