First Fridays are Free at Cranbrook Institute of Science 6/1
Cranbrook Institute of Science offers FREE general admission June 1st, 2012 - 5:00pm - 10:00pm
Courtesy of MASCO Corporation Foundation admission to the Cranbrook Institute of Science will be free after 5pm the first Friday of each month through June 2012.
The Cranbrook Institute of Science houses 11 permanent galleries including Our Dynamic Earth featuring Life Changes Over Time, Ice Ages Come and Go and Mastodons Did Not Survive; Objects of Great Lakes Native America; Woodlands Den; The Motion Gallery; Astronomy Lobby; Mineral Study Gallery; The Story of Us and many many more great gallery exhibits.
There is also a changing exhibition hall, an outdoor science garden, nature trails, a state-of-the-art planetarium, an observatory and a nature center currently leased to the Organization for Bat Conservation. The major overarching theme to the exhibitions is the interconnectedness in nature.
